The Hog Creek Hardin, previously known as the Hog Creek Review, is a collection of creative writing works submitted by Ohio State and high school students as well as members of the community. The student editors hosted a bonfire and an open mic to mark the end of the year and the publication of this year's issue. Both students and area writers were invited to recite short stories and poetry. The Hog Creek Hardin hopes to encourage others to either start or continue writing for fun.

"I absolutely think it encourages people to explore expression, to find ways to talk about what's important, to find like minds to hang out with," explained Tim Cheeseman, the faculty advisor for the Hog Creek Hardin Literary Journal. It's the way that we let people know we're here; it's the way that we explore the issues that we all struggle with and confront every day."

The literary journal began in 2007 under the original name Asterism.
