Winter weather across the state means more snowplows and salt trucks are on the roadways. The Ohio Department of Transportation is urging motorists to drive with caution, especially on snow-covered or icy roadways. So far this winter, 18 ODOT snowplows have been hit statewide. When snowplows are on the roads, it's important to remember to slow down and give yourself plenty of space and time to signal and pass them.
We are nearing the end of the fall season in west-central Ohio, and that means winter is upon us! According to NOAA's updated winter outlook issued on November 16th, there is a 40% to 50% chance of above-normal temperatures with a 33% to 50% chance of below-normal precipitation for west-central Ohio.

Our Thursday is starting off in the lower 30s under cloudy and breezy conditions. A few areas of flurries or drizzle will be possible today, otherwise mainly dry with steady temperatures.
Another bitterly cold morning, but a slight warm-up is on tap today. After starting off in the single digits, highs will warm to the upper 20s. A weak disturbance will bring a few pockets of light snow for the afternoon. Some of this could also mix with drizzle. Not everyone will be impacted, but this could cause a few slick spots for afternoon travels.
