William “Frankie” Edge, 46, was taken into custody and is being held in the Allen County Jail on two outstanding warrants, along with suspicion of felonious assault and weapons under disability charges.
A Putnam County man was arrested after barricading himself in his home following a domestic violence call.
The Lima Police Department continues to search for a person of interest in last week's homicide of 31-year-old Nick Roach. Police are looking for 43-year-old Javin Mayo. According to the Ohio Department of Corrections, Mayo was released from prison last year. He was serving time for gun-related charges in Allen County and is currently in post-release supervision.
The Lima Police Department was engaged in a standoff earlier Sunday evening. The suspect was located at the Gatehouse Condominiums on the north end of the city. Lima Police were on the scene for a few hours and were assisted by the SWAT team.
The suspect in a day-long standoff in Lakeview last month could be facing more charges as the grand jury will be reviewing his case. 57-year-old Holley Tolliver of Lakeview has been charged with improperly discharging a firearm into a house. But the grand jury is set to meet next week, and additional charges could be added.
A shots-fired situation in Logan County on Wednesday resulted in an hours-long standoff on the north side of Indian Lake. Gunfire occurred as authorities attempted to breach a home on the north side of Indian Lake around 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. Sheriff's deputies got a call regarding a home being struck by gunfire on Big Bear Path in Chippewa late this morning and determined a home was struck. The resulting investigation ended in a man refusing to surrender to authorities. And causing nearby residents to be evacuated.
Police arrested a Lima man following a standoff on Thursday night. 32-year-old Jordan Jennings is being held in the Allen County Jail on charges of suspicion of strangulation and other outstanding warrants. Lima detectives say around 6 p.m. Thursday night, officers were called out to a home on Orena for a domestic violence incident. The victim says that Jennings assaulted her and was inside the home, refusing to come out.
A Lima man refused to leave his home when Allen County Sheriff deputies tried to execute a protection order. 26-year-old John Peterson III walked out of 807 Crestwood Avenue after a two-hour negotiation with the sheriff's department after he barricaded himself inside the home. Deputies were trying to execute a court-ordered protection order when Peterson closed the door and refused to come out.
The Lima Police Department captured a wanted criminal following a standoff. As of 10:30 PM Tuesday, we learned that the suspect who surrendered is 32-year old Demarcus Williams from Tennessee.
