A shots-fired situation in Logan County on Wednesday resulted in an hours-long standoff on the north side of Indian Lake. Gunfire occurred as authorities attempted to breach a home on the north side of Indian Lake around 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. Sheriff's deputies got a call regarding a home being struck by gunfire on Big Bear Path in Chippewa late this morning and determined a home was struck. The resulting investigation ended in a man refusing to surrender to authorities. And causing nearby residents to be evacuated.

We have more information about a story we told you about last night. A Tennessee man was arrested after a 3-hour standoff with law enforcement Tuesday night. 32-year-old Demarcus Williams is in the Allen County Jail facing a domestic violence charge and warrants for multiple charges out of Tennessee. Around 5 p.m. Tuesday night, detectives say a female victim went to the Lima Police Department to report that her live-in boyfriend, Williams, allegedly assaulted her in their apartment. Police went there to talk to him, and he barricaded himself inside. Police learned that he is facing burglary, robbery, assault, and drug charges around Memphis.

A Lima man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for a standoff with police last summer. 60-year-old Mark Seffernick was sentenced this morning in Allen County Common Pleas Court. He pleaded guilty to five counts of felonious assault; two of the counts had gun specifications, and all five were felonies of the first degree. Ten other counts were dropped as part of a plea deal.

On Wednesday, April 03, 2024, the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force in a joint effort with the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, the FBI’s North West Ohio Safe Streets Task Force, and the Lima Police Department’s S.W.A.T. Team, served a narcotics related search warrant at 612 Marian Avenue.

According to court documents, in May 2021, a woman knocked on the door of a home in the 600 block of Ontario Street and told the person inside that Coronado assaulted her. Coronado then pushed the woman aside and hit the guy that lived there twice, once on the side of the head and then again in the face. Coronado was arrested later at a home on Kibby Street by the SWAT team when he didn't respond when police arrived to arrest him.
