60-year-old Mark Seffernick was sentenced this morning in Allen County Common Pleas Court. He pleaded guilty to five counts of felonious assault; two of the counts had gun specifications, and all five were felonies of the first degree. Ten other counts were dropped as part of a plea deal.

In July 2023, officers were called out to Seffernick's home on Albert Street after he allegedly threatened another man with a gun. Police say Seffernick barricaded himself in his home. While locked inside, he fired shots out of his house.

The Allen County SWAT team and the Ohio State Highway Patrol were called in, and he eventually surrendered to law enforcement.
