VAN WERT, Ohio (WLIO) - A five-decade tradition continued tonight as the 50th Peony Pageant was held in Van Wert.
There's hundreds of projects being showcased in the Junior Fair Building with the same goal in mind: to make the best better. Ellie Janszen takes us to one of the coolest spots at the fair. Presentation is underway for the next generation of community leaders here in Auglaize County. The junior fair is taking place today. Junior fair exhibitors are showing off their months of hard work in their building. 4H members across the county had the chance to learn and grow through various projects like woodworking, sewing, safety, photography, and so much more. Presenters took advantage of trying new skills or expanding knowledge of their hobbies.

Area youth were able to learn more about the stage and how to showcase their artistic talent during a workshop.
Through the “Wee Make Music” event, children from birth to kindergarten were given the opportunity to have fun and socialize as they listened to the ocean and summer-themed songs as they made a little music themselves. The event consisted of children playing musical instruments like bells, tambourines, and maracas, as well as some singing and dancing.
The Heritage Ukulele Band performing at several downtown businesses and agencies that have supported their efforts. They even got to be radio stars as they taped a couple of songs at Woof Boom Radio. While tight quarters, the students had fun performing in the studio.
The work of graphic Novel artist Bryan Moss will be on display in all three galleries. From Columbus, Moss has been developing his talents from an early age. He has had several graphic novels published and is eager to share his love of art with the kids.
