LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Local singers and musicians taking the time to honor the musical legacy of composer Stephen Sondheim. The Lima Symphony Orchestra and Modo Media teaming up for the performance of “A Little Sondheim Music” in the lawn of the Jameson Manor Friday night. The group not only performed hit after musical hit from such stage plays like Into the Woods, and Sweeney Todd, but some of his works from movies and TV too. Sondheim passed away in November of last year, so the evening not only showcases his work, but the talents of the local artist performing them.

“I hope they, one enjoy the beautiful atmosphere here, we have this gorgeous lawn. I hope they take away a better appreciation of a very special musical theater artist,” says Kara Schoenhofer, Director, “A Little Sondheim Music”. “And another appreciation of all the beautiful and wonderful talent we have here in Lima.”
