"I did sewing the past three years. Woodworking is just a lot more hands-on with tools in your hands. It's just a lot more fun," said Bailey Koenig, a 4H member.

Throughout the day, fairgoers enjoyed food while checking out the many stations. The 4Hers took pride in representing their cities through award-winning projects.

Members of the board continue to showcase their work while also providing important support to the younger members.

"I got first, so I got to go to state fair, and that's the first time I've ever gone, and so I was very, very excited that I got to go. I think it's cool to show off my creativity and just branch out and show people that it doesn't always have to be about showing animals," explained Lela Gottschalk, a 4H member.

The Junior Fair Board is a big part of organizing the fair and events like this. Members of the board continue to showcase their work while also providing important support to the younger members.

"It's just a great way to be involved in the fair, not just having projects here. My brother just turned 15, I'm encouraging him to join junior fair board. Some of my little cousins, they should be in the junior fair board; it's very rewarding and the best thing you could possibly be in," stated Kate Elay, a 4H Junior Fair Board member.

The countless awards are a testimony to the meaningful work each student puts toward their projects.
