The best way to beat the heat and keep that body temperature low is with a nice, delicious cold treat.

At the 172nd annual Auglaize County Fair, there is a lot to offer. From performances, animals, clothing, games and prizes of all shapes and sizes, and fun rides—but the one thing that people automatically gravitate towards is the food!

It's very easy to take in all the food with your friends and family at the fair.

"The foods that come to mind to me are usually like corndogs, wings and stuff, things like that, and burgers, I would say you have to get the wings. I get the wings from Jay's Lip Smacking Wings. I get the chicken coop. It comes with like jalapeños, some tenders, and you get like some sour cream on it," said Trevor Crouse.

"Well, you got to get cotton candy before you leave, and the french fries, you have to get the french fries. You get them once a year it seems like, you can't get them anywhere else," suggested Scott Hatfield.

The Auglaize Dairy Producers has been bringing the dairy to the fair for the past 40 years.

It's very easy to take in all the food with your friends and family on a nice sunny day such as today. However, just like any other day that is warm and humid, keeping your body both hydrated and cool is essential.

"Every day is a different day doing this. We get to see so many different types of people, everyone is so excited, just lots of big smiles, it's always just a good time. This heat can get to you and nothing's better than a nice snow cone on a hot day," said Kathryn Campbell, Kona Ice.

While Kathryn brings the flavored ice, our friend Lou over at the Auglaize Dairy Producers has been bringing the dairy to the fair for the past 40 years, selling roughly $2,000 in ice cream and double in milk sales during this time.

"Well we have a pretty big cooler and every three days the cooler needs to be refilled. The drumsticks are always big, the push-ups for the kids are always big, the toffee bars they really go well. Very important for anything cold, ice cream or milk that's cold will definitely cool you down," said Lou Brown, Auglaize County Holstein Club.

There you have it. The best way to beat the heat and keep that body temperature low is with a nice, delicious cold treat.
