Area youth were able to learn more about the stage and how to showcase their artistic talent during a workshop.
The Made for the Stage Youth Theatre Workshop held their final exercises to get students ready to perform in front of a crowd in Lima on Friday. Students learned more about theatre and how they can use their performance to showcase their feelings, emotions, and overall talent.
The group will be performing at the encore theatre in lima on Friday, July 29th, which is free and open to the public. The students will take to the stage starting at 6:30 pm.
"I also wanted them to just know that they have a voice wherever they go," said Maddison Downing, Artistic Director of the workshop, "and to just be bold and be excited about who they are, and know that they are important in the space they are in and everything that they do is worth being seen and being heard."
