A mild, windy, and damp start to the day with sprinkles and drizzle around. Any showers should end around noon. Clouds give way to plenty of sunshine by the middle to late afternoon. Highs will top out between 65 and 70° with a breezy west wind.
A cold and frosty morning, but temperatures recover back well into the 50s today. Clouds will gradually increase ahead of our next system with a few sprinkles possible this afternoon.
A winter-like system on Monday dropped 1" of slushy snow on grassy and elevated surfaces. This puts our season total at 14.7". Spring snows have been common the past few years. 4.3" fell last year on April 20th-21st. In 2020, the area had sticking snow on April 17th.
A cold start to the week with the threat of April snow showers. We are tracking a system that has already dropped enough snow to cover the ground in Indianapolis, and that same activity is pushing our way. The period from mid-morning to just after noon will bring our best chance. Once the snow pulls away by 1/2PM, any accumulation will quickly vanish. A lull in precipitation will be replaced by a few scattered showers late this afternoon into the evening. Highs will top out in the low to mid 40s.
After a few thundershowers early, a break in the rain is expected for most of the morning. Scattered showers can be expected to build this afternoon with numerous rain activity for the evening hours. A few heavy pockets of rain along with lightning will be a possibility. Expect highs in the 60s. Lows tonight drop into the 40s as rain tapers off after midnight.
Our Tuesday is starting off quiet and cold in the 20s. Temperatures will rebound to the 40s today with a light southeast wind. Partly sunny skies this morning give way to more clouds during the afternoon. A few showers are possible after 6PM.
March is coming in like a lamb this year with quiet and mild weather! A sprinkle cannot be ruled out in our northern counties today, otherwise dry with more clouds than sunshine. Highs will range from upper 40s north to upper 50s south, around 54° for Lima.
