LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Bath claimed the championship of the Kewpee Tip-Off Classic on Saturday, using a dominant second half to power past Marion Local, 40–28.
After trailing by 19-12 to open the third quarter, the Wild Kittens grabbed momentum when Addie Rex kicked it out to Alycen Stumbaugh for a go-ahead three, putting Bath on top 21–20. Rex followed with a strong drive to the rim, converting the basket and the foul on her way to a team-high 17 points.
Marion Local battled to stay close, including a quick catch-and-shoot jumper from Kiley Schoenlein, but the Flyers couldn’t slow Bath’s surge.
Stumbaugh delivered another big moment to end the third quarter, burying a buzzer-beating triple. Bath outscored Marion Local 28–9 in the second half to secure the tournament title.
