BLUFFTON, Ohio (WLIO) — The Bluffton Beavers made it two straight wins Saturday, defeating Manchester 39–23 at Alumni Field to move to 3–1 on the season.
On Bluffton’s opening possession, quarterback Tywuan Clark capped off the drive with a short touchdown run to give the Beavers a 6–0 lead after a missed extra point.
While the offense sputtered at times in the first half, junior kicker Drew Michael provided a steady boost, connecting on a pair of field goals — including a 21-yarder in the second quarter — to push the advantage to 12–3.
Late in the first half, Clark found Jashawn Wyckoff wide open for a diving touchdown grab, extending Bluffton’s lead to 19–3 heading into halftime.
The Beavers kept their foot on the gas in the second half, pulling away for a 39–23 victory to stay among the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference contenders.
