BOTKINS — The Botkins boys soccer team continued its perfect start to the season with a commanding 13-0 victory over Lima Central Catholic.
The Thunderbirds held strong early, as goalkeeper Eli Fields made a clean stop to keep the game scoreless in the opening minutes. But the Trojans quickly found their rhythm. Hudson Meyer connected with Trent Paul for the opening goal, giving Botkins a 1-0 lead.
Not long after, John Ratermann extended the advantage with a far-post finish midway through the first half. Meyer then added a goal of his own as the Trojans pulled away.
From there, Botkins never looked back, rolling to a lopsided shutout to remain undefeated on the season.
