WAPAKONETA — Columbus Grove kept its postseason run alive with a sweep over Lima Central Catholic in the Division VI sectional final on Tuesday night.
The Bulldogs took control early in the first set, led by Aubrey Schroeder’s powerful hitting as Grove raced to a 15-4 advantage. Lydia Sarka and Nicole Nesby dominated the net defensively to keep LCC off balance.
Kendal Palte sealed the opening set 25-10 with a quick reaction at the net. LCC senior Carolina Kill provided a spark in the second with finesse play to extend the match, but Grove remained composed down the stretch.
Columbus Grove took the final two sets 25-19 and 25-20 to complete the sweep and advance to the district semifinals.
