ELIDA, Ohio (WLIO) — Top-ranked Ottawa-Glandorf continued its unbeaten season with a convincing 68-37 win over Elida on Tuesday night at the Elida Fieldhouse.
The Division V No. 1 Lady Titans set the tone early, jumping out to a first-quarter lead behind Olivia Grothause, who opened the scoring with a strong finish inside.
Ottawa-Glandorf maintained its momentum as senior Karsyn Erford knocked down a 3-pointer off a screen, part of a 21-point performance.
Erford’s night also moved her into second place on the program’s all-time scoring list.
Elida, which entered the game having won eight of its last 10 contests, found a spark late in the opening quarter when Lilly Sifrit converted a layup off a forced turnover, trimming the deficit to 16-7.
The Lady Bulldogs continued to battle in the second quarter, with senior Emma Mitchell scoring from close range to keep Elida within striking distance, but Ottawa-Glandorf’s depth and pace proved too much.
Grothause led all scorers with a career-high 23 points as the Lady Titans steadily pulled away in the second half to extend their winning streak.
Ottawa-Glandorf closed out the game with a dominant performance on both ends of the floor, securing the 68-37 victory and remaining unbeaten on the season.
