KALIDA — Kalida captured the Putnam County League golf championship at Pike Run Golf Club with a team score of 316, edging out Leipsic, which finished second at 329.

Ottoville took third with a 331, led by standout Evan Altenburger. Altenburger carded a 67 to win medalist honors and top the individual standings. Kalida’s Paul Stechschulte finished second with a 70, while Leipsic’s Brevin Brandt placed third after shooting a 72.

Kalida secured the overall team championship, while Altenburger, Stechschulte, and Brandt were recognized as Players of the Year. Kevin Stechschulte of Kalida was named Coach of the Year.
