LIMA — Second-ranked Lima Central Catholic remained perfect on the season with a 45-26 win over Fort Loramie on Friday night.
The Thunderbirds wasted no time getting on the board, as Brady Parker connected with Jaxon White on the first play of the game for a 65-yard touchdown to take a 7-0 lead.
Fort Loramie answered quickly behind Ray Hoying, who powered through multiple defenders to set up his own short touchdown run. After a missed extra point, the Redskins trailed 7-6.
From there, LCC’s offense proved too much. Parker and White hooked up again on a deep strike as the Thunderbirds pulled away.
Fort Loramie added late scores, but LCC’s fast start and steady execution secured the 45-26 victory. The Thunderbirds improved to 5-0, while the Redskins dropped to 0-5.
