LIMA — Professional basketball player Martyce Kimbrough returned to his roots this week, hosting the seventh edition of his annual basketball camp at Lima Central Catholic.
Over 200 kids signed up for the three-day camp, where participants ran through drills on shooting, dribbling, footwork, rebounding, and more — all under the guidance of Kimbrough and his staff.
A graduate of LCC and the University of Findlay, Kimbrough emphasized the importance of giving back to the community and helping young hoopers fall in love with the game.
“Stick to the plan” has long been Kimbrough’s personal mantra — and that plan includes continuing his professional career overseas. He announced during the camp that he’s re-signing with Astoria, a club in Poland where he averaged 16.6 points over 47 games and led his team to the championship round this past season.
From Lima to Poland and back again, Kimbrough remains a role model on and off the court.
