McComb pulls away late to defeat Leipsic in Division VII semifinal

ELIDA (WLIO) — McComb used a dominant fourth quarter to knock off Leipsic 45-31 in a Division VII district semifinal at the Elida Fieldhouse.
Madison Beckman and Morgan Kern helped the Panthers build an early lead, while Leipsic answered behind Rylin Gerten and freshman Kya Brandt, who led the Vikings with 14 points.
McComb took control down the stretch, outscoring Leipsic 15-5 in the fourth. Kern paced the Panthers with 12 points as they advance to face Miller City on Saturday at 3 p.m.
