FINDLAY (WLIO) — Michele Durand is retiring from coaching, bringing to a close a 34-year career that spanned stops at Findlay, Bluffton and Ohio Northern.

Durand spent the last four seasons leading the Findlay women’s basketball program, where she totaled 57 wins. Before that, she coached 11 seasons at Bluffton and 18 years at Ohio Northern.

She finished her career with 511 total victories, including 454 combined wins with the Polar Bears and Beavers. Across the Division II and Division III levels, Durand also won five conference regular-season titles, two conference tournament championships and made four NCAA Tournament appearances.
