COLUMBUS GROVE, Ohio (WLIO) — Columbus Grove used a balanced offensive effort and smothering defense to roll past Allen East 49–12 in Northwest Conference action.

The Bulldogs controlled the pace from the start and kept building throughout the second half. Sophomore Aubrey Schroeder powered inside in the third quarter, banking in a tough finish to extend the lead.

Allen East continued to fight, with senior Rylie Jordan gathering a rebound and converting a strong basket in the lane, but the Mustangs were unable to narrow the deficit.

Columbus Grove kept the pressure on, as Allison Thompson added two of her five points to keep momentum firmly on the Bulldogs’ side. Senior Kendal Palte then delivered a game-high 12 points, including a smooth move past her defender to push the advantage even further.

The Bulldogs capped their dominant night with an easy finish from Karlee Weisenburger, sealing a statement NWC win on their home floor.

Columbus Grove improves to 1–0 in conference play with the victory.
