COLUMBUS GROVE, Ohio (WLIO) — Columbus Grove senior Trevon Baxter delivered a highlight-reel moment in the Bulldogs’ Northwest Conference showdown against Bluffton, earning this week’s K&M Contracting Play of the Week.

Leading by seven in the second quarter, the Bulldogs sent Baxter deep to return a kickoff — and he made the most of it. The senior sliced through the Pirates’ coverage and raced 99 yards to the end zone for a momentum-shifting touchdown. Baxter wasn’t done either, recording another kickoff return for 89 yards later in the game.

Columbus Grove went on to defeat Bluffton 48–38 to secure the NWC title outright for a third straight season. The Bulldogs end the regular season on a seven-game win streak after starting the year 0–3, and have clinched a first-round playoff bye.

Congratulations to Trevon Baxter on being named this week’s Play of the Week.
