LIMA, Ohio (WLIO)— Ridgemont used a strong first quarter and balanced scoring to earn its fourth win of the season Thursday night, defeating Perry on the road.
The Golden Gophers opened with back-to-back baskets, beginning with freshman Joslin Henderson, who drove around the corner and finished off the glass. Moments later, Aubrie Overly knocked down a mid-range jumper to extend the lead to four.
Midway through the quarter, Ridgemont’s ball movement created another open look, this time for sophomore Brilynn Rudasill, who converted to keep the Golden Gophers in control.
Perry, fielding a team again after not competing last season, broke through when Brooklyn Keysor scored the Commodores’ first points of the night.
Ridgemont maintained its advantage the rest of the way, securing the win to continue its early-season momentum.
