LIMA (WLIO) — Riverdale held off a late Allen East push to secure a 46-39 win in a Division VI district semifinal.
Annalese Woodruff sparked the Falcons with a corner three in the third, but Allen East answered as Rylie Jordan turned a turnover into points to trim the deficit. Marissa Bonham added a key jumper off an offensive rebound, and Lilly Mowery stretched the lead to five midway through the fourth.
The Mustangs battled back behind Brooklynn Crumrine and Harper Friesner, but Riverdale sealed it at the line in the closing minutes. The Falcons advance to face Minster.
