FINDLAY, OH — The Flag City Sluggers hosted the Grand Lake Mariners Friday for a doubleheader that brought everything from small-ball to sudden death.

In Game One, the Mariners jumped out early. With a 1–0 lead in the fourth, Samuel Reczek knocked an RBI single to left, and moments later, Jacob Loving scored on a gutsy double steal to make it 3–0.

The Sluggers clawed back with a bases-loaded walk by Andrew Stechschulte in the fifth and tied the game with two more in the sixth.

But in the ninth, the Mariners pulled off a sudden death victory, taking the opener of the twin bill.

In the nightcap, the Sluggers flipped the script.

Rylan Mills brought home the first run with an RBI groundout in the second, before the Mariners responded with a sac fly from Sammy Besztery to even things at 1 in the third.

Then in the fourth, Ryan Ruch stepped up with a go-ahead single to center, scoring Tanner Powell to put Findlay back on top.

The doubleheader ends in a split, with each team taking a hard-earned win.
