LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The University of Northwestern Ohio women’s basketball team remains unbeaten after holding off Brescia University, 60–55, at Racer Gymnasium.
Senior Lee Lawson led the Lady Racers with a game-high 23 points.
Freshman Brooke Asher added 12 points, including a strong drive to the rim and a triple from deep to extend the Racer lead. Olivia Thompson chipped in 19 points, continuing her hot start to the season with multiple finishes in transition.
In the final moments, with UNOH clinging to a two-point lead, Lawson found Lori Huffman, who converted the bucket and drew the foul to help seal the win.
The Lady Racers improve to 5-0 and stay perfect on the year, while Brescia drops to 1-2.
