KETTERING — Heavy rain forced the cancellation of Tuesday’s final round at the Division II state golf championships, leaving Monday’s results as the official final standings for both the boys and girls tournaments.
At NCR Country Club, Liberty-Benton’s boys finished 11th overall with a team score of 346. Junior Asher Norman led the Eagles, tying for 12th place after opening play with strong positioning before weather halted competition around the 12th hole. Teammates Jackson Knepper and Andrew Tomlinson each carded steady rounds, with Tomlinson sinking multiple pars despite the worsening conditions.
On the girls’ side, Van Buren placed sixth as a team after Monday’s round of 377 stood as the final result. Delphos Jefferson’s Riley Geary, who shot an 83 on day one, officially finished tied for 22nd individually.
Archbishop Alter claimed the boys Division II state championship with a score of 314.
