ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - Many kids and their families made plenty of fun memories today at the fair! Monday was youth day at the Allen County Fair, with activities kicking off in the plaza.
We caught some exciting competition among the kids as the kiddie tractor pull peddled off into high gear to see which kid had what it takes to complete a full run. In between the fun, we talked with two kids about their time at the fair, including a four-year-old girl who won first place in today's tractor pull.
"I won a trophy, first place," said Lauren Cornwell, a 4-year-old enjoying the Allen County Fair.
"You won first place? That's awesome! How does that make you feel?" asked the reporter.

"Good!" replied Lauren.
"Tell everyone why you like riding tractors," said the reporter.
"Because I want to win the tractor pull," Lauren responded.
"We rode rides. We're doing the tractor pull right now, and we looked at some animals and went to a goat show. Come on out to the fair," said Keaton Cornwell, a 7-year-old enjoying the Allen County Fair.
In addition to the tractor pull, kids enjoyed a free fishing derby by the Allen County Conservation Club at Roschman Park Pond, the Jungle Island Petting Zoo, and rides by Poor Jack Amusements.
