The City of Lima is no stranger to welcoming in Presidents within the city limits, starting back in the 1800s and hosting over a dozen Presidents since.
Some of the more recent stops include Presidents Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, and Ronald Reagan, just to name a few.
President Donald Trump will be the latest President to be making a stop in Lima, visiting the Joint Systems Manufacturing Center.
The last President to visit the JSMC was President George W. Bush back in 2003. Then-President Bush lauded the workers at the plant for quickly creating a solution for a potential problem area found in the Abrams tank that was discovered by tank commanders in Iraq.
"Within a week, you had a new part, designed and manufactured, and the first kits to deal with that problem shipped to Iraq," said Bush. "When our soldiers and Marines needed you most when the pressure was on, you came through and America is grateful."
As for the last President to speak in Lima, back in 2012, then-President Barack Obama made a stop in Lima to speak at Lima Senior High School as part of his campaign for re-election. He spoke on hot-button issues of the time and left the crowd with one final note.
"No matter who you are, or what you look like, or where you come from, what your last name is, where you started, no matter what - you can make it in America if you try," said Obama.
Now in 2019, President Donald Trump will be the 20th President or presidential candidate to pay of visit to the city of Lima.
