39 year old Lonny Lee entered a plea of guilty to 4 of the 10 counts against him. Lee was facing multiple counts of rape and felonious assault, plus charges for kidnapping and attempted rape, before he took the plea deal. As part of the deal, the state will recommend a 20 year prison term with mandatory probation following the term. Â
According to detectives at the Lima Police Department, Lee was arrested after his DNA was entered into the national data base following a drunk driving charge in Kansas. His DNA was a match to some DNA collected from 4 rape cases in Lima that happened between 2001 and 2003. The Lima Police Department contacted the 3 victims and they identified Lee as person who strangled, beat and raped them over a decade ago.
No sentencing date has been set for Lee at this time. Â
