She says that she will work to promote downtown Lima to assist in economic development.
A new Downtown Lima Inc. Executive Director was introduced, and she is no stranger to Lima. Betsy Billingsley had been working with the Lima Mall and now has her eyes set on downtown businesses and activities to improve the quality of life in Lima and hopefully encourage new industries to locate here.
Downtown Lima Inc. Executive Director Betsy Billingsley explains, “So the more we support the downtown Lima Inc. the more we support our community the better we look to the outside, as well as we also get to enjoy the benefits too. But it is economically important for us to really build that downtown, that’s one of the first things they look at.”
Billingsley says they are working on First Fridays and the plantings in downtown.
