Christmas may be just a couple of days away, but there is an area organization that is not done giving.

ABATE (American Bikers Aimed Toward Education) donated a little over $1,000 to the Salvation Army Thursday afternoon. ABATE is a motorcycle rights organization that educates people about motorcycle laws and safety when out riding.

At the end of September, ABATE held a toy run to assist families with Christmas bills and even provide children with toys for the holidays. Because this year's toy run was so successful, ABATE was able to foster 120 kids at the West Ohio Community Action Partnership. When it was all said and done, they had a little left over and decided to help out with a donation to the Salvation Army.

"There's a lot of families and stuff that I say that can get the food, that you know can pay the bills, and get groceries on the table and stuff but when it comes to Christmas sometimes it's really stretched so that's where we step in and help out," said Dana Frost, Regional Director of Region 3 ABATE.

Frost is already thinking about next year's toy run. His goal for next year is to sponsor 200 kids of WOCAP.
