Monday December 30, 2024
0140 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Ireland Road in Ridge Township to contact a resident for Van Buren Township Michigan.
0835 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Willshire Ohio City Road in Liberty Township for a report of a stop sign being down.
1448 hrs. – Dispatched Middle Point EMS to a residence on Clime Street in the City of Delphos for a subject with chest pain.
1536 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Burt Street in the City of Van Wert to assist the Van Wert Police.
1636 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Kear Road in the City of Van Wert on a complaint of loose dogs.
2007 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Glenmore Road in Liberty Township to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle.
2244 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on South Race Street in the City of Van Wert to assist the Van Wert Police.

0040 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on U.S. Route 127 in Union Township for a report of suspicious activity.
0120 hrs. – Deputies conducted a traffic stop on U.S. Route 127 in Union Township. During the investigation it was found that the subject had No Operators License and Failed to Register the Motor Vehicle. William Rydell Yats age 20 of Harrison Michigan was transported to the Van Wert County Correctional Facility.
0145 hrs. – Dispatched Scott EMS to a residence on U.S. Route 127 in Union Township for a subject having difficulty breathing.
0908 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Garfield Street in the Village of Scott for a report of a loose dog.
1108 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Riley Street in the Village of Willshire for a report of domestic dispute.
1126 hrs. – Dispatched Ohio City EMS to a residence on Carmean Street in the Village of Ohio City for a subject who fell.
1133 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Glenmore Road in Willshire Township for a report of breaking and entering to a vacant residence.
1358 hrs. – Deputies along with Convoy Fire and EMS responded to a motor vehicle crash on Lincoln Highway in Pleasant Township. The incident was investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
1500 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on State Route 49 in Willshire Township for a report of a suspicious person.
1701 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Convoy Road in Tully Township for a report of high water.
1905 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of State Route 49 in Tully Township for a report of a vehicle in the ditch.
2222 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Van Horn Road in Tully Township for a report of domestic violence.
2340 hrs. – Dispatched Convoy EMS to a residence on Richey Road in Pleasant Township for a subject having difficulty breathing.

0005 hrs. – Dispatched Ohio City EMS to a residence on State Route 709 in York Township for a subject with abdominal pain.
0045 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of North Main Street in the Village of Convoy for a complaint of four-wheel ATVs running the streets.
0111 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on West Carmean Street in the Village of Ohio City for a report of a burglary. The incident remains under investigation.
0336 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on South Shannon Street in the City of Van Wert to assist the Van Wert Police.
0825 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on U.S. Route 33 in Willshire Township to check the welfare of a truck driver.
0854 hrs. – Deputies spoke with a resident from Defiance Trail Road in Hoaglin Township for a complaint of theft.
1013 hrs. – Deputies along with Wren Fire and EMS responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on U.S. Route 224 in Harrison Township. Unit One a 2002 Buick Park Avenue driven by Aaron Ginter of Willshire, was traveling Westbound on U.S. Route 224. Unit One then attempted to turn south on to State Route 49. The Driver of Unit One stated that his breaks then went out and he was unable to slow down to make the turn. Unit One then Struck a Stop sign on the west side of S.R. 49 before striking guy wires that were connected to a power pole. Unit One then rolled over and came to a rest on the roof of Unit One. Unit one had four passengers in the vehicle. Wren EMS transported all five occupants to Van Wert Hospital to get checked out. Paulding Putnam Electric responded to the scene. 1028 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Louth Road in Jennings Township for a report of the mailbox being struck.
1804 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 127 in Pleasant Township for a report of subjects walking in the roadway.
1809 hrs. – Deputies responded to the area of Overholt Road in Ridge Township for a report of a suspicious vehicle.
1816 hrs. – Dispatched Middle Point EMS to a location on Lincoln Highway in Ridge Township for a subject having difficulty breathing.
2027 hrs. – Dispatched Convoy EMS to a residence on Mentzer Drive in the Village of Convoy for a subject with complications from surgery.
