Allen County Commissioners can start discussing ways to spend ARPA dollars

The United States Treasury Department gave their final ruling on ARPA funding last Friday and commissioners are scheduling meetings to determine where that money can be used. The county already has 9-million dollars on the books of the 19-million they’re scheduled to get but wasn’t sure how it could be spent.

Allen County Commissioners can start discussing ways to spend ARPA dollars

Commissioner Brian Winegardener goes on to say, “We’ll receive the second portion of our payment in June of 22. So, we’ll have full payment yet this year. So, we’ll need to figure out what that can and can’t be used for.”

The commissioners holding their reorganizational meeting naming Brian Winegardener President and Cory Noonan Vice President. They hope to have a meeting about the ARPA dollars by the end of the month.
