LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — As Child Abuse Prevention Month comes to a close, a donation from the Allen County Probate and Juvenile Court is helping support local families served by Allen County Children Services.
Judge Todd Kohlrieser and members of his staff delivered baby supplies — including diapers, wipes and other essential items — to the agency this week. The supplies will be distributed to caregivers of infants currently served by Children Services.
Kohlrieser said the court’s firsthand experience with the struggles many families face motivated them to help in a tangible way.

“We're very supportive of the Allen County Children's Services Board and the assistance that they provide not only to the children, but to the families that are in need,” Kohlrieser said. “We're hoping to help combat any issues of neglect or dependency, to help these families that are in crisis, to show a little support and hopefully benefit them in some way.”
This marks the second consecutive year the court has made the donation, which they describe as an investment in the future.
