ALLEN COUNTY, Ohio (WLIO) - The Allen County Bomb Squad called to Findlay earlier Wednesday afternoon, after a suspicious device was discovered.
The Findlay Police responding to the "Gas and Go" at 800 West Trenton avenue just after 2:30 in the afternoon. They were investigating reports of a suspicious device that turned up behind the business. Officers found something they described as looking like a military Claymore style explosive, with wires sticking out. Because of the potential risk, the Bomb Squad was called in, and a perimeter was set up to keep people away. The Bomb Squad determined the device was not an actual explosive, and it was safely removed.
