Canal Days wraps up with parade, music and family fun in Delphos

DELPHOS, Ohio (WLIO) — The annual end-of-summer festival wrapped up another successful year of family fun this weekend.

The streets of Delphos were filled on the final day of Canal Days. The Sunday highlight is always the annual parade, as businesses and first responders from the surrounding area travel through the city and pass out candy to the kids.

There was also a Jeep invasion along Main Street and live music in the big tent. Between the rides, games, activities and bands, the four-day festival takes a whole year to plan.

“So, we actually work on it pretty much the whole year. So, we'll get through this one kind of do our wrap up, and then we'll start talking what we want to do for entertainment and what we can do to make it bigger and better each year for families, it's great to see the family and friends out here just walking through town and socializing with other family and friends,” says Maria Diltz, Delphos Canal Days.

Diltz adds that it’s the hundreds of volunteers who really help make Canal Days a success each year.
