SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WLIO) — Motorists traveling through Shawnee Township will need to plan an alternate route Thursday as a portion of Dixie Highway closes for road maintenance.
The Allen County Engineer's Office announced that Dixie Highway between Breese and Buckeye roads will be closed to through traffic from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for chip-and-seal work. During the closure, only local traffic accessing businesses along the affected stretch of roadway will be permitted. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and use alternate routes while crews complete the maintenance project.
