Media Release from the Delphos Police Department 

On 1-06-2026 officers were sent to the 500 block of E. 2nd St, to investigate a minor crash involving two vehicles.

On 1-06-2026 officers were dispatched to the intersection of 10th and N. Main St. for a two-vehicle crash. One driver was issued a citation for failure to yield at a stop sign.

On 1-07-2026 officers responded to a business in the 900 block of E. 5th St, to investigate an alarm activation.

On 1-08-2026 officers along with Delphos Fire and Rescue responded to a single vehicle crash on S. Clay St, near Annex Dr. The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital for possible injuries. The vehicle, which struck a utility pole, sustained heavy damage and was towed from the scene.

On 1-08-2026 officers were dispatched to the American Legion in the 400 block of N. State St, after an employee discovered that the building had been broken into. Officers arrived and gathered information along with evidence from inside the building. The incident is under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Detective Bureau at the Delphos Police Department.

On 1-08-2026 officers met with a female in the 300 block of E. 2nd St, who found the door to her residence unlocked and a light on inside. Officers checked the residence but did not locate anyone inside.

On 1-09-2026 officers were requested to assist in locating potentially dangerous wires hanging down on Ridge Rd, just outside of Delphos.

On 1-09-2026 officers spoke with a female who reported that an ex-boyfriend had sent inappropriate photos of her to another person.

On 1-10-2026 officers spoke with a male who reported a violation of a child custody order. Officers spoke with the child’s mother and resolved the confusion she had with the order.

On 1-10-2026 officers were sent to the 400 block of S. Main St, where a female stated that her daughter was threatening to harm herself. Officers spoke with both the mother and daughter, and it was decided that the mother would transport her daughter to the hospital for an evaluation.

On 1-11-2026 officers responded to the 500 block of S. Franklin St, for a Domestic Disturbance. Officers spoke with a male and female at the residence who had a verbal disagreement. The female requested officers to standby while she gathered items to leave.

On 1-11-2026 officers spoke with a male who reported items missing from his vehicle. The male stated that he last saw the items a month ago but has since discovered them missing.

On 1-11-2026 officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Skinner St. A female there stated that she was assaulted by another female. A report will be forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office to review for charges.

On 1-12-2026 officers were sent to a business in the 1000 block of Elida Ave, to investigate a private property crash involving two vehicles. Officers spoke with the owner of each vehicle, and they agreed to exchange information.

On 1-12-2026 officers spoke with a female who reported that her cell phone was stolen. The female stated that her ex-girlfriend took her phone while she was moving out of the residence.
