LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — For 16 years, Family Promise of Lima-Allen County has provided shelter and support to families facing homelessness—the only local organizations that keeps entire family units together during crisis.
Families struggling with medical bills, unemployment, or utility shut-off notices often turn to Family Promise for help during difficult times. To continue providing these vital services, the organization relies heavily on donations and community support.
One of its key fundraising efforts is the annual golf outing, “A Promise of Hope: One Swing at a Time,” which is scheduled for Saturday, July 26, at Hidden Creek Golf Club.
“The golfers are wonderful, but they pretty much just pay for their golfing, their lunch and that type of thing,” said Bev Beery of Family Promise of Lima-Allen County. “But if we can get sponsors, that's what we really need. We need sponsors. We start at $150, which a lot of people say, ‘only $150,’ and then it kind of moves up—$300, $500 and up. But our sponsors are our main supporters that help us with the fundraising.”
There are four sponsorship levels available: Putting Green, Tee, Hole, and Title Sponsor. For more information or to become a sponsor, contact Family Promise of Lima-Allen County at (419) 371-4786.
