LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Activate Allen County is now accepting applications for its 2026 Faith Community Challenge as part of ongoing efforts to promote healthier lifestyles across the region.
In partnership with Mercy Health, Activate Allen County is encouraging faith-based organizations to apply for grant funding aimed at improving the health and well-being of their communities. The initiative supports projects that address physical, mental and behavioral health needs.
“Anything that we can help provide,” said Chad Welker with Activate Allen County. “We can only provide up to $1,000, but it can be large or small, if we’re just helping out for a portion of it. What’s really cool about that is that if it is mental or behavioral health focused, the Mental Health Recovery Services Board is actually going to be helping out additionally.”
Organizers say up to 10 grants will be awarded through the program. Applications are available at ActivateAllenCounty.com and must be submitted by Feb. 21.
