LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Health Partners of Western Ohio is opening the doors to its new North Lima Community Health Center.
The facility at 2001 N. Cole St. hosted an open house Friday, giving people a chance to tour the center, meet staff and learn about the services available.
Health Partners provides primary care to people who live below 200% of the federal poverty level, with or without insurance or Medicaid.
The new center has 25 clinical rooms, eight dental rooms and a full-service pharmacy with a drive-through.

Health Partners officials say the goal is to make health care more accessible by bringing multiple services under one roof, including for people who may not have seen a doctor in years.
“Our goal is that when a patient comes in, sometimes people don't know exactly what they need. For example, someone might have a toothache and they know they need to get their tooth taken care of. But when you come into our dentist, you'll also get your blood pressure taken. You'll also get some questions asking how you're doing. So often, we'll find a high blood pressure that came in for a dental appointment and we know they need to get them over to medical,” said Janis Sunderhaus, CEO of Health Partners of Western Ohio.
People who missed Friday's open house can attend another event Sunday, Aug. 16, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
