LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - The Ottawa Metro Park Amphitheater was full as the Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District kicked off its summer Amphitheater Series.

The evening featured traditional Irish music as the band Roscommon Sessions traveled from Columbus to delight the crowd with violins, guitar and the Irish drum bodhrán. People of all ages brought lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the tunes as the sun set. The series offers a variety of music from different eras and genres for everyone to enjoy.

"We got a nice variety of everything. We've got everything from 60s music all the way up to contemporary stuff, country, rock and roll. We do have some things early in the morning on Saturdays for families. So there's a nice variety of everything here," said Myles Cartwright, deputy director with JAMPD.

The next concert in the series will be held June 7, featuring The 60’s Survivor Band rocking the amphitheater.
