LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) - The Lima Area Radio Kontrol Society will be taking to the skies this weekend for their annual Big Bird Fly-In.
Spectators can watch as skilled pilots fly remote-controlled aircraft, performing a variety of tricks throughout the day. In addition to the flying demonstrations, the event will feature raffles, lunch, and information for anyone interested in joining the club. Organizers encourage any and all ages to come check out the fun.

“This particular event actually brings a lot of skilled pilots, a lot of high-end aircraft, you know, as far as on the larger side, being that it's a big-scale event which, which means, you know, airplanes that are like 80 inches or bigger. So like I said, you bring a lot of good pilots and airplanes to an event like this,” said Ben Burdin, chairman of the event.
The show will take place this Saturday, at the L.A.R.K.S. RC Flying Field right off of SR 309 between Delphos and Lima. Pilots will be taking to the skies around 10 a.m. Demonstrations are scheduled to begin around noon. The event is free to attend, and spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs.
