LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – Lima firefighters battled a blaze Monday morning on the city’s east side.
The call came in at 5 a.m. for heavy smoke coming from 709 East Albert Street. All the residents were out of the duplex when firefighters arrived.
A second alarm was called for additional manpower. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but officials estimate damage to the property and its contents at around $23,000.
The Red Cross was called in to assist the residents that live in both sides of the duplex.
