LIMA, Ohio  (WLIO) — The City of Lima has been selected to receive grant funding as part of the upcoming America’s 250th anniversary celebration.

The America 250-Ohio Commission has awarded the city $5,000 to support storytelling and educational programs. The funds will go toward a “Local History Hunt” that will guide participants along five themed trails, each featuring a variety of historical stops.

“The Lima Local History Hunt is going to really showcase all the different contributions that our local community has made — both in industry and in arts and culture,” said Jessica Begonia, City of Lima public information officer. “It’s a way to highlight the unique things we have and the role we’ve played in building America over the last 250 years.”
