LIMA, OH (WLIO) -Â A man found not guilty by reason of insanity for killing his mother in 2020 had a court hearing Monday.Â
Devon Ketzenberger appeared by video conference for a two-year progress report. After a brief discussion, it was determined that Ketzenberger will continue his stay at the mental health facility where he is receiving treatment.
In 2021, a judge found him not guilty by reason of insanity on murder and other charges related to the death of his mother, Wendy Ketzenberger. Detectives said he strangled and beat his mother before starting a fire that destroyed her home in September 2020. The court is scheduled to have another progress report on Ketzenberger within two years.
