SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WLIO) - Shawnee Township Events provided the community with a good time on Sunday.
Organizers closed off Blue Jacket Court to make way for vendors and food trucks to line the street. Shoppers could swing by the different booths the vendors had set up, featuring 3-D printed figures, hand-knitted animals, and many more unique items. After shopping, visitors could grab a bite to eat from a variety of food trucks. Organizers say events like these help keep the community active.

It's a family friendly environment to bring people together in the Shawnee community and to hope, inspire for more of these types of events and interaction with your public service," said Chief Rob Kohli with the Shawnee Township Police Department.
Shawnee Township Events is also getting ready to host a couple of movie nights this summer. The first showing will be the movie Wild Robot at Heritage Park next Sunday.
