LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) – A two-alarm fire damaged a home on the south side of Lima on Wednesday morning.
The Lima Fire Department responded to a call at 8 a.m. at 425 S. Pine St., where smoke was seen coming from the home. Fire officials said the blaze started on the first floor and spread to the second.
Authorities believe the house was vacant but noted evidence suggesting squatters had been living there.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and officials have determined the estimated damage to be at around $15,000.
